In case you don't want to look through my whole site to form an opinion, this is the low down on me.

Q. How do you feel about research?

A. I love doing research and working in a research group. I enjoy the challenge of understanding a theory and then designing an experiment to test that theory.

I have a very utilitarian nature. I often get bored with theoretical meanderings if it's just meandering for meandering's sake.

Q. Are you a pretty god cook?

A. Yes, I used to be a gourmet chef. I put myself through my undergrad school by working in a nice restaurant. I learned on the job. When I came to school here in S.F. I dropped out after a year. I then went back to work as a chef for a couple of years, until I got my head straight.

Q. How do you feel about the environment.

A. I am what you would call eco-aware.

Q. What is your preferred mode of transportation?

A. I love to mountain bike. I bicycle commute all over S.F. and that can be pretty hairy. A steep single track can be scary but try dodging muni buses and tourists and jay-walking crackheads on Market street someday.

Q. Would you consider relocating to Wisconsin?

A. I love the Ocean. I never want to live farther than an easy bike ride from it.
